Long Olivers Lane, Public Highway, directly off A52.

Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 08:33, Friday 9 February 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 492700.

Blocked drain causing flooding, directly infront of our one and only exit. High risk re- skidding. Access onto A52 is problomatic due to water right up to our gate.

This 2nd drain is blocked due to gravel now and causing a huge massive puddle which is up to our gate.

Traffic entering Long Olivers Lane are not always aware of this huge puddle. Traffic exiting Long Olivers Lane have to navigate this safety risk with great trepidation.

(Other drain is totally blocked now which is reported and down for Febuary 2024 to be sorted, Highways said)

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because Surfleet Bank Lane is a narrow rural road in an agricultural area, as such conditions like those described are not unusual and can be expected at times when driving on the areas of our road network. The recent poor weather combined with agricultural activity has highlighted many sites like this one and we do have to prioritise the limited resource we have to issues where there is a significant highway safety issue being created but we will continue to monitor as part of our routine highway inspections. Thank you for reporting this matter.
