Bridge House East Glen River A6121

Reported via desktop in the Flowing water, life or property at risk category anonymously at 15:02, Fri 9 February 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 492821.

The bank is eroding and destroying the river bank, there is a static home here and the customer is worried that the erosion will drag it into the water. It has chains attached but the whole bank is going and the chains keep it anchored. This bank has also taken some trees down.

  • URGENT SITUATION! Extremely rapid bank erosion especially as silting ++ on oposite side of river since LCC put Gabions down when strengthening the bridge, has changed the direction of flow. Note the tree (2nd of 2)that came down in Storm Henk and how erosion has taken place this week on the left at the bottom of the garden since we had permission to put retention Willow steaks in years ago. We have had to make this tree safe and that cost me £290 and I am a Pensioner on Pension Credit!
