Claypole Bridge over Rivet Witham

Reported via mobile in the Bridge or Structure category anonymously at 17:18, Monday 12 February 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 493359.

This report follows on from work done on previous report ref 461829. Thank you for the work carried out and recently completed. However, our original report requested that you modified the bridge in order to stop children jumping off the bridge into the river and causing themselves serious injury whilst their anti social behaviour caused distress and in some cases injury to us, our neighbours and passing motorists, cyclists etc. Our original report carried a full summary of the issues. The work you have carried out will in no way deter these children from climbing onto the bridge ( see photos ). They will still have easy access. The bridge needs to be sealed off at both ends and some additional preventative measure along the top edge of the barrier. Please do something before the warm weather arrives or this summer will be a continuation of previous years when the police were called out almost every weekend. Thank you.
