Outside 1 Station street

Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering less than half the road category anonymously at 14:19, Wednesday 14 February 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 493684.

When we have any amount out of continuous rain the road outside our house developes a large puddle, when the traffic goes past they tend to hit the puddle and the larger vehicles lorries etc go through and the water hits our windows and door. The reason this happens is because a while ago someone came to repair the set of steps that go from the pavement up to the road and covered over the drain that was there. With the amount of rain we have had lately it has been getting worse, when it hits the windows it sounds like a gun going off.It just is not acceptable!!

  • Even though we had an email to say that the job had been allocated to a team to be done the problem still remains, it was beginning of February when we first reported the issue and considering the amount of rain we're getting our house is getting drenched everytime a vehicle goes past on the road. Can you please get someone to fix this problem ASAP.

  • The pictures I am sending were taken on Friday the 3rd of May, we thought by now something would have been sorted but no nothing. The situation has not and will not change until the work is done which is the gully that used to drain the water at the side of the road is uncovered. I feel that enough time has elapsed for it to have been sorted so please can we have this issue resolved ASAP. Thankyou

  • Again I contact you regarding standing water,as before heavy rain leaves a large puddle outside our house on the road, and when the traffic comes through especially the larger vehicles, lorrys etc they hit the water and it hits our windows and door.So any debris that sits in the water and on the road also hits our house. Can you PLEASE have this problem sorted ASAP. THANKYOU
