Outside 32, 34, 36 St Catherines

Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering more than half the road category anonymously at 11:49, Sunday 18 February 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 494420.

For about the last 6 weeks, everytime it rains there's a huge amount of standing water covering the road but mainly the pavement. It can be impossible to walk on the pavement so everyone has to walk up and across my drive to get by. The water and people walking has now totally eroded the tarmac off my drive leaving bare brick and large holes. It has pretty much destroyed the pavement making it dangerous to walk on, especially with a pushchair or wheelchair. Someone fell here a couple of weeks ago, an elderly gentleman. The photos do not do it justice. I have lived here for 3 years and this has not happened before but now it's worse every time there's rainfall and the damage to my drive and the walkway is now really severe.

  • 19/02/24 The men have come to reinstate the pavement but they have said all the drains along the road are blocked and need the fully cleaning truck to come. It seems pointless to fix the pavement before sorting the water/ drainage out as the rain water will just erode it again.
