After road-resurfacing a year or two ago, water pools over the road at this location every time it rains. This did not historically happen, and is a major issue for the large number of walkers who use the public footpath, since the water, being several inches deep in places, stops them from being able to walk past. The water covers the whole of the road. This issue has been reported before, but the council suggested that it was a temporary issue because of the flooding across the county, suggesting that drains might have been blocked. However there are no drains in this area and it is the fact that the road has not been properly made round that makes the water collect on the surface. Thankfully it only a few days after each rainstorm, but the flooding (in Winter, it is flooded most or many days) means that fewer people are walking through than before. We would be so grateful if this issue could get fixed as it has a major impact on the community's connectivity etc. Thank you!
