74 station street the willows care home culvert

Reported via mobile in the Flowing water, life or property at risk category anonymously at 17:59, Monday 19 February 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 494725.

The Lower station street in Rippingale was flooded again on the 8th of Feb. The street became to a shallow river and the water was 6 inch high right across the road and it was reached to my property-110 station street. I believe some water did get into our play room. It’s not safe for my children as my little one can’t swim. The water was obstructed and over flowed from the culvert in front the Willows care home as the trash screen was blocked by soil, branches and debris. Our engineers checked the culvert and Advised the silts is more than 50%. The flood is man made and it is avoidable if the trash screen be regularly cleared and the culvert be regularly maintained by my council. I am looking forward to hearing your update and solution.
