Street light problem

Council ref: 4190798.

Street light broken off where it narrows. The column is still attached but the bulb and lantern is in callers garden. The street light has brought the telegraph wires down on to the footway and carriageway

  • Good afternoon, thank you for making a temporary repair earlier this year. When are you going to return to do a permanent fix? As the nights draw in this area of street remains submerged in darkness and is an unsafe area of street for pedestrians and other vehicles. It has been temporarily fixed since the start of the year, but now really needs a permanent solution.

  • We’ve had a look at the street light and found that it’s not working because there’s a problem with the power supply. We’ve reported this to the electricity board. Once they have fixed getting power to the light we will re-inspect it and schedule any further repairs if necessary.
