Right in middle of road

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 495694.

This is a large pothole which is unavoidable when meeting a car. Hard to see when filled with water. The whole road needs sorting as barely 2 cars wide.

  • Pot hole is encroaching to middle of carriageway now. With the bad edges of the road in addition to this pot hole the road is barely single track now!

    Various places across road here, particularly to Left Hand Side of road. Causes very nasty bang on wheel. Surprised it didn't damage the wheel/tyre, the bang was so bad at circa 30 mph. It seems that this is now a month old but is still left as a dangerous obstacle.

  • This HOLE is 4 feet long x 18 inches wide and 6 inches deep. A particularly significant hazard, particularly in the dark and wet. The morning after I arrived home, following my last post, my vehicle had a flat tyre due to the rough edge of the pothole piercing the side of my nearly new tyre. Can anyone advise the claims procedure for this to Lincs County Council?

    Still not repaired as of 7-4-2024. So pics now attached. The extra problem here is there is a pothole now developing on the opposite side of this narrow road, making the area extremely difficult to negotiate safely
