  • This is yet another post about the state of Valley Lane. This is a discrace and it will cause a tragic accident. If that happens it will be the fault of the Council. This is dangerous beyond belief.

  • If this is just ANOTHER patch job, this will not solve the problem and simply filling holes with Hardcore will last 2-3 months. Please look at a proper long lasting solution to this as it will cause an accident. Numerous short fixes have been used on this road and they have a combined cost far in excess of a proper repair. Please look into a solution similar to the one on Bretts lane on the way to Elston. That is 5 years old and is a proper solution.

  • Potholes NOT DONE and your report saying fixed is incorrect. The numerous potholes and roadway require extensive repairs. IF your contractors is claiming that the problem is fixed then they are not telling the truth and this should be investigated and the repairs carried out immediately

  • This is yet another post about the same problem. PLEASE fix this there will be a tragic accident. If you attempt to do ANOTHER fill in job this will only add to the cost of dealing with this problem. A good fix would cost less in the long run. How much has been spent over the last 5 years patching this road. Don't make people demand this information as it will only expose how much waste has happened or how Council contractors are at fault. Either way this will not help the opinion of the council. ALL this information could be avalible if the right request were made.

  • If contractors are saying that potholes are fixed, when they are clearly not. This is a WASTE of public money. In short a discrace. Either the contractor should be held to account or the approach to repair should be revised. Please stop wasting time and money on quick fixes for Valley Lane. It is a death trap and there will be a serious accident at some point. The blame for this will be 100% with the highway for there atrocious approach to repair in this area.
