Path/road outside number 32
Reported via Android in the Standing water covering less than half the road category anonymously at 14:49, Wednesday 3 April 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2801894.
When it rains, the water covers the path and subsequently damages the surface and leaves stains. Also blocks the path as the puddle eventually crosses the path in full. I have cleaned the mess up this morning as it looks horrible outside my property and you can see in one of the photos the new damage to the surface of road where the water is pulling it up. Previously reported but nothing was done. Water remains for days. There is a drain 3 meters away which doesn't capture this pool. During winter this froze over and made it harder to get out of the drive. And added Risk to pedestrians slipping.

Why have we closed this report? We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

The issue isn't the drain, the issue is that the road/path is lower than the nearest drain due to the road being damaged as shown in photos. The issue is that the path floods in rain, leaves a mess and freezes during winter.
