Most of Linga Lane
Reported via mobile in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 01:03, Friday 5 April 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2802142.
There are lots and lots of deep potholes on no the sides of Linga Lane that cannot be avoided in some stretches as the driveable road is narrower than a car. I have now had 2 experiences of my car wheels being damaged and have previously reported this after the first incident. The road is getting worse and worse and is definitely dangerous to vehicles and cyclists. The road has been like this for longer than a year but an adjoining lane has been resurfaced twice in this time.

I walked along Linga Lane yesterday and noted that 5 potholes had been highlighted at the village end of the lane (see attached photos) but nothing at the end I had reported. I took another 50 photographs of serious potholes which I haven’t attached as I can only add 3. Please can you check that the potholes I originally reported will be repaired and confirm whether they are going to be filled in individually or whether the road will be resurfaced. I will also be forwarding photos to our local County Council representative.

Linga Lane is still undriveable. The gangs you passed the work onto went to wrong end of Linga Lane and filled in 5 mediocre pot holes...I walked down to the end that I had reported and took photo's of over 20 photographs of deep potholes. This is not an efficient use of tax payers money and, more worrying, you are using contractors who cannot read a map. I am going to ask someone to take a video of the stretch of road in question using a drone so you can actually see the part of Linga Lane that needs attention. This area of Linga Lane has been reported by many people over the past 18 months and several people have complained that their cars have been damaged. This is not acceptable service.

Are you serious? One pothole? There are still over 20 potholes on Linga Lane that have not been addressed. I am beginning to feel like I am talking in a different language. Do I need to escalate this issue to our local County Councillor who lives in an adjoining village? I keep contacting 'Fix my Street' but I keep getting fobbed off with gangs going to Linga Lane and throwing a bit or tarmac in a pothole...the pothole hasn't even been sealed first so it will still form another hole as rain causes more problems. Do you have quality control staff that check the standard of work that is being paid for by tax payers money? Very, very disappointed in how our money is being used by Lincoln County Council!!

Are you serious? One pothole? How much have we been charged by the gang that did that? There are still over 20 potholes on Linga Lane that have not been addressed. Apparently Linga Lane has been ‘fixed’ so I walked down there the other evening and I couldn’t believe my eyes. Has anyone from the County Council actually been to look at the quality of the repairs? If this is the best of British workmanship, then we should be ashamed. 2 people saw the work being carried out where tarmac was just put into holes filled with water and on 2 separate occasions a local farmer drove down Linga Lane to observe the workforce asleep in their vehicle …not the best advert for tax payers money! Some holes still haven’t been filled!
