Drain in road between number 2 and number 8 abbey road
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2805282.
The drain in the road is absolutely full of mud and blocked not allowing any rain water to disperse. This will cause flooding to the road and possible damage to number 2 and number 8 abbey road . The drain is a common problem and blocks regularly. It urgently needs unblocking before more rain and a permanent solution would be appreciated.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

This drain has not been fixed. Yet again a team are out at a different drain outside the butchers shop over the road!! This does not stop the flooding or repair the damage pipework outside number 2 and number 8 abbey road . Please update as flooding is worse than ever.

Some work was carried out by Anglian water last week but it was not at this particular spot. When we spoke with the Anglian Water team who were over the road on the day you advised me that they would be doing the road between number 2 and 8 abbey road… they advised that the drain between 2 and 8 Abbey Road will be the responsibility of Highways? Please advise when this work will be carried out before flooding really does do more serious damage to these properties? People cannot use the footpath without fear of being soaked by passing traffic . This issue was first reported 2 years ago?
