Street light problem

Updates

  • Ornate metal street lamp half way up Broadbank in Louth has been hit by a Scaffolding Lorry this morning. The lamp standard is partially out of its fixing and is leaning across the public footpath and across electric wires. It looks very precarious/dangerous to both pedestrians/traffic using Broadbank which is the main road up to the hospital.

    This is very urgent!!

  • We’ve been to the site and investigated the issue. We couldn’t get this sorted just yet and more work is needed. We’ll keep you informed about how this progresses.

  • It has been tarmac’d in at a very jaunty angle. Is this to be corrected anytime soon?

  • There are three lights that are not working on the top section of Broadbank. I reported one problem over 6 months ago. There are now only 3 working lights from Kiln Lane to the top of Broadbank

  • Very annoyingly I see that my original post of over a year ago to complain about this lamp post had been edited by someone at the council. Well I still think it looks like whoever temporarily repaired it, had done so after leaving the pub 🤣. It was left in a terrible state. Nobody in the council can surely see that as vertical. I appreciate it is an ornate lamppost that will most likely take longer to source, but does it really take 14 months and still counting? When will this light be fixed please?
