Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2807068.
Anglin Water recently repaired a burst water main on the nearby Haven Bridge. Debris flowing downhill from the repair has been washed into the drainage gully causing the carriageway to be covered in standing water during sustained or heavy periods of rain. This is a busy pedestrian route and I have now seen a number of school children get soaked by cars not seeing the large pooling of water. this has been an issue for approximately 5-6 weeks.

Still whenever it rains we end up with a Splash pool. Am sure at the weekend I saw a guy pull a decent sized Carp out of it.
How much longer is it going to take? Has been planned since May....

I can't believe this was reported in May and still nothing has been done. I walk this route to work almost every day, after it rains I have to walk through the car park after jumping over the wall so that cars don't splash me. I recently found out about this website for reporting such problems, but I see that it doesn't help much

When I went through here on Thursday, the puddle had extended across the road and into the right- hand lane. It's getting ridiculous now.

Here we are 16 months after this was originally reported, with zero action on resolving the issue. This photograph demonstrates the regular surface flooding after rainfall along a busy pedestrian school route. Time to get your act together LCC.

This has NOT been resolved. Is closing this report and marking it as fixed a way of making yourselves look less incompetent?Again this morning, a huge puddle across the road. Clearly zero effort in investigating and resolving. This was reported over a year and a half ago and you should be embarrassed that a busy pedestrian route still cannot be used because of your failure to act.

I agree that nothing has been done. Yesterday I passed by there around 3:30 p.m. after a light morning rain, and there was already a puddle. I think I was the second person to report this on September 27, 2024. I'll repeat that I walk on this sidewalk every day because I live on the next street. I even considered trying to submit a proposal to build a sidewalk along the canal from South Terrace to the bridge on John Adams Way, next to the moored boats and through the parking lot. There's room for it there, because the sidewalk is narrow anyway, and cyclists often use it too. But if the drain into the canal can't be unblocked, how could they build foot path:)
