Junction of Station street, turning right onto the A151 Station approach

When cycling along Station street, Spalding this morning and wanting to turn right into Station Approach. Because there is no safe provision for those on bicycles to turn right, you have to use the highway at this busy junction. I filtered into the right turn lane, waiting to turn right. Once the flow of traffic from Winsover road, Spalding had cleared and the traffic lights were still on "green", I proceeded to continue onto Station Approach A151. However, on the desire line to turn, there is a large pothole which I had to swerve around. This I imagine would be caused by continued use of motor vehicles over time also waiting to turn right. The road surface has been compromised at this pot hole, exposing the foundation. They is also debris. Urgent attention required for two reasons - 1) Those on bicycles risk hitting the pot hole and possibly causing damage to themselves and/or their bicycle. 2) Having to suddenly deviate from the desire line in the road which could cause alarm for motorists from behind who are also aiming to turn right but because they see the road widen at this point, often attempt to overtake the cyclist rather than patiently wait until it is safe to pass. Motorists often do not see what those on bicycles or motorbikes can see on the road surface. Please note - I could not take a photo because this is a heavily used junction and felt that it was unsafe for me to walk into the road to take a photo.

I cycled along this stretch this morning 3rd July 2024 around 9.45am. I did witness that the pothole had been filled, but would argue that it is not repaired to an acceptable standard compared to recent repairs I have seen on Cowbit Road, Little London bridge junction and Gore Lane/Fen End Lane, Spalding. The repair on Station Street was uneven in its surface and was not sealed around the edges with tar. Because this junction is high volume, I would imagine that it will need repairing yet again with a few months time. I could not provide a photo as it was too dangerous to do so.
