Louth Road dootpath
Reported via mobile in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 10:49, Thursday 20 June 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2810132.
Weeds and soil are covering over half the footpath making it hard to walk on. The road is a busy A road. Farmer has not been to the field next to the road to cut it for months so is very overgrown and fence and soil is being pushed over onto path hence the obstruction

Farmer was in the field and cut the grass, cut some of the grass that was over the footpath and repaired one fence post. Grass is still long around field edge but doesn’t affect the footpath as much. The soil is still on footpath so grass will quickly grow again

Has the snag been rectified and can you advise when the footpath will be cleared and bushes trimmed 🤔

This continues to be a serious issue along the A157. Not just this section, but the entire length of the footpath between East Barkwith and West Barkwith. Foliage is a physical barrier to using the path in multiple places.
