COMMON LAND at the end of Granta Crescent

Reported via mobile in the Dying or diseased tree category anonymously at 10:09, Fri 21 June 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2810224.

I reported the problem some weeks ago and was told the land is not council land. When we bought our house (18 Belton Grove) we were told that strip was common land. It is not part of any property on Granta Crescent. The hawthorn trees are covered in ivy and are dying in parts. They are also very tall and require cutting.

  • Thank you for your update these trees are not the responsibility of LCC and we would not take action as they are not causing any safety issues to the carriageway or footway that we are responsible for. As a property owner you can cut back any branches etc that encroach on to your property and you could contact the land registry to ascertain the owners details of the land. https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry.
