Island on Laundon Road, Threckingham

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2810547.

Caller states large tree on island in village is very overgrown hasn't been tended to in years. appears to have a few dead branches on it and the tree has grown into a bench.

  • It should be noted that the tree is a feature of the village and any remedial work should be sensitive to that status. It's a fine tree and needs some tlc.

  • I would also agree with the comments about the Horse chestnut tree (Aesculus hippocastanum).It is one of the first trees you pass when coming into the village and has a presence which is very pleasing to see with the planters around it.

  • Hello We know that you responded very quickly to our initial call and that photographs were taken. Our assumption is that remedial action, if required, will take place in the autumn or winter after leaf fall. Is this correct please?
