Greenfield Lane, friskney, joining the A52

Reported via mobile in the Loose chippings category anonymously at 18:25, Wednesday 26 June 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2810690.

The farm (staples) has put large stones in the kerbside holes they have created by continually cutting the corner in an attempt to fill their damage this however is causing a real danger as everytime a hgv or tractor is cutting the corner which they continually do, it is pushing the stones out onto Greenfield Lane and the A52 these stone are about 5cm to 10cm in size enough to cause significant damage to people or vehicles as the stones are large and could flip up from the road surface they also pose a skid risk on the corner.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. The stones in the verge are a very low risk to health. We will continue to monitor this area in our routine safety inspections. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • Thank you for taking the time to investigate, however I disagree with your decision it is not a low risk. When a car comes crashing into our garden like it did last year when there was mud left on the road instead of suing the farm like we did last time we shall sue the council as I have reported it to you. These stones need to be replaced with lime stone so it can compact into the damaged area without leaving big granite stones on an A road to cause a danger to road users and pedestrians. Also the size of these stones is enough to damage tyres and cause damage to vehicles when the flick up from the road surface. When I get a damaged tyre I shall send the bill to yourselves or damaged paint work. Regards. Mr G Green.
