Water collects after rainfall high grass verges stop draining away and covers most of road even ifcyou slow down vehicles coming from opposite way dont so big wave of water and deep enough to make you car jolt ,if there is a drain probably blocked from dirt trailed out by lorries from pedersons yard most of horncastle road into Woodhall has large puddles at edges ever since it was resurfaced.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

Why have we closed this report? We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.
