Milman Road / Monks Road Junction
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category by Lincolnshire Residents Association at 07:50, Sat 13 July 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2812192.
This is one of many blocked drains along Monks Road and on the roads off Monks Road.
The consequence of this drain being blocked is that a lot more water flows across Monks Road.
We are told these: have not been cleaned out for 3 years used to be maintained/cleaned out every year
Whether these statements are true or not, the current situation is bad/wrong.
Is the solution as simple as using a big suction machine to get the rubbish out of the drain?

The drain outside of the boundary to this house that I wish to purchase is blocked. The photos show that the water has caused damage to the front garden wall. The house is on the corner of Toronto Street off Monk’s Road. The houses on that stretch seem to have a surface drain just outside the perimeter of the properties and elsewhere the drainage runs under the pavement to the street, taking the water away from the houses completely. For some reason this is not in place on this stretch of houses (Nos 287/285 and others). Thanks.
