Yellow box markings are faded

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category by Insp 656 Andrew Price at 20:30, Sat 13 July 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2812244.

I have reported this previously and believe it was updated as no further action but the yellow box is completely faded and cannot be enforced now. This is a major junction which, over busier periods, can see vehicles block the junction and create additional congestion. The junction are is looking really shabby too with litter, detritus in the kerbs, broken railings so it looks very untidy.

  • We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the road condition and at this time it does not require urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County road network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
