Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2814446.
The entire section of the lane (formerly tarmac) requires resurfacing. Despite many reports and requests for repairs, nothing coming close to a satisfactory repair has been done.
Under section 56 of the highways act 1980 I "the complainant" therefore request formally, under the above section and serve notice that this road is a highway and maintainable at public expense. You therefore have 30days to confirm this. Preferably with confirmation of works dates. Or I will be obliged to pursue the matter further via the mechanisms of this section of the act.

Could you please confirm the dates the work is scheduled to take place? If not, we will undertake the repairs ourselves and invoice for the costs of materials, plant hire and labour! As allowed by the act.
