Westgate, Ruskington

Reported via mobile in the Problem at LCC roadworks category anonymously at 01:39, Wednesday 7 August 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2814530.

Roadworks contractor delivering heavy machinery at 1.00 am on Wednesday morning. Vehicle had reversing bleepers, spotlights and noisy tail lift. My partner and I were rudely awoken. When speaking to the driver he was aggressive and ran across the road towards me in an aggressive manner telling me that he was told to deliver the road vehicle at 1.00 am. Can someone please explain why you think waking people up at 1.00 am on a weekday in a residential street is acceptable???? Also can you explain why your road contractor is acting aggressively? Did he not expect people to complain having been woken at 1.00 am ?
