  • The state of the footpaths on both sides of Watergate are a disgrace and dangerous. On the West side outside Lidls, the tree roots have forced the paving stones up to such a degree that it constitutes an immediate health and safety hazard, particularly over recent days when the snowfall has covered the pavement. Similarly on the East side beside the carpark tree roots have forced the paving stones and additionally a temporary repair using tarmac has also started to break up, is also constituting an immediate health and safety hazard.
