Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 12:15, Fri 23 August 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2816057.

The road has sunk causing a big issue when you drive on the left hand side driving away from the Morrisons end of the road must be at least a 15cm drop in the road. There have been road signs there for a long time but they keep blowing over. The council must be aware of this, it will cause major problems/damage to cars driving over this as you don’t see it until you get near to the dip.

  • The signs are always laying on the ground as the wind blows them over, they are only plastic needs signs that you can put sandbags on so they don’t get blow over. This damage to the road will cause serious damaged to vehicles. It’s been like it for months surely something temporary can be done. It’s not a small dip

  • The dip is getting worse soon there will be a big hole and cause major damage to a vehicle. Surely it doesn’t take months to sort out the responsibility.

  • Still a massive dip in the road. Spalding news said it was supposed to be fixed A WEEK AGO! This sinkhole is getting worse, cars and lorries having to swerve to avoid it.

  • This is so bad drivers are having to driving on thr wrong side of the road to avoid the dip. It will cause an accident, I don’t understand why it has taken so long to see who’s responsible for this. I reported this over a month ago and you were already aware of this.

  • This situation is GETTING WORSE! I was driving behind a Vehicle that swerved dramatically to the other side of the road, straight in front of an oncoming Car who had to perform an Emergency brake! All because of this dip in the road, that one day could be fatal for someone if action is not taken soon to fix this section of road.
