Investigating
Lime Tree Oasby
Reported via desktop in the Other road surface issue category anonymously at 15:39, Saturday 24 August 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2816135.
The resurfacing work that has taken place in the parish commencing on 14th/15th August is appaulling. Pot holes, surplus gravel etc. Instead of using Tarmac to resurface the road e.g Welby to the High Dyke, Highways have sprayed tar, spreading gravel so that our vehicles bed in the surplus. Its damaging tyres, vehicle paintwork and making it unsafe for pushbikers.
The sweeper came round the village of Oasby on Wednesday 14th August. Supposedly sweept the road, created extensive dust that entered houses, laying thickly on cars, you couldn't see from one house to another. No Water was sprayed to prevent dust going everywhere. Works were carried out on 15th/16th and after a few days the road sweeper came back early on Wednesday 21st but you cannot see where its been, its unbelieveably messy trailling onto individual driveways and inside homes. Its rained heavily this morning and more potholes issues are back. We trust that Highways will look into this matter urgently as its likely someone will claim for damages.

There are potholes around the village, the one's marked near Oasby Manor are not the only ones that need resurfacing properly. Your inspectors need to look elsewhere near lime cottage, village street as there are many more. Should we go out and identify where the roadworks need to take place with a yellow arrow like the ones identified and Oasby Manor?
