30mph repeater missing
Reported via mobile in the Sign (unlit) category anonymously at 07:21, Mon 2 September 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2816777.
From North end through double bends to yarburgh is 30mph the repeaters are missing!! Now this route has increased in traffic since putting double decker buses on! A16 being shut regularly! Traffic speed through arguing its not a 30mph limit! I shouldn't have to have this discussion!!

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. 30mph repeater signs are not required in locations with street lighting columns - their presence defines a 'built up area' with a default speed limit of 30mph. For this reason, both repeater signs and lighting columns are spaced at a maximum distance of 200 yards so that this speed limit may be enforced. Our site visit concluded that the lighting columns in Yarburgh meet this requirement. Thank you for reporting this matter.

In your response to 30mph repeater missing! Clearly you haven't visited the area or even read the report properly! Firstly I reported the area from North end to yarburgh Not just yarburgh. Secondly if you had read it and visited you would see its countryside there are NOT lamp posts or telegraph poles of a maximum 200 yards apart!! Clearly I know the highway code rules but other people Clearly don't! Secondly yard are an old unit of measurement therefore I suggest strongly you reconsider and look again I will happily escort you along the road I'm speaking of
