The length if footway from Mill Crescent to High Street is in need of reconstruction. The foitpath is in poor condition particularly across vehicle access. The recent gas works required excavations in the footpath. The attached photos clearly show the existing construction is not to current standards. 40mm of bituminous material on top of soil. I have reported this issue before but no action has taken place. I hate to think what condition the footpath will be in if we get a cold winter.

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.
