We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because the County has received a large amount of rainfall in a short space of time and as such we are having to prioritise flooding sites which pose a risk to life or significant risk of internal flooding. It’s worth noting that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains can become overwhelmed and at the moment gullies may not be able to drain away into watercourses which are full or backing up. Should you feel your property is at risk your first action should be to contact the emergency services who will assess the situation and act accordingly. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Rest assured that we will be inspecting highway drains and gullies in affected areas in the coming weeks once the emergency response is over. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
