Bottom of the cul de sac
Reported via desktop in the Standing water covering more than half the road category anonymously at 15:07, Tuesday 1 October 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2819465.
Any time there is a hint of rain it floods. Twice this year I've had a mechanic out as I tried to leave the property and the water caused my car to breakdown. There have been multiple times when delivery drivers refuse to deliver parcels due to not being able to get access. This has been a recurring problem for 20 plus years. One of the builders that worked on the houses when they were being built said that excess cement and concrete was washed down the drain therefore it has likely blocked the drain further down under the field. I cannot count how many times SKDC have been out to look at it but they do nothing it has been cleaned so many time but that isn't the problem. I have phoned SKDC today as yet again I have been unable to get my car out of the drive. I feel as though because it only effects the two houses at the bottom of the cul de sac that noone cares enough to fix it. I will now be forwarding all future mechanics bills due to driving through the flooding outside the property to yourselves and will be putting claims in for each day that I have to miss from work due to not being able to get out the drive. This matter needs to be sorted before I take this further. I will be contacting citizens advice to gey help with taking this matter further.

Thankyou for your comments. We do have this street on our radar as requiring drainage improvements. The current system is an inadequate soakaway system which requires replacement or modification. Our drainage team are working on a solution which we aim to deliver as soon as we can. Thank you for reporting this matter.
