Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category by RES IDENTS at 22:13, Thu 21 November 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2824155.

Gulley cleaner present in louth Town tonight (imagine the overtime costs) this drain was supposed to be added to the "next cycle of works" but the reports are not able to be found now. This drain has been blocked for over 2 years and overflows onto stewton lane after any sort of rainfall.

  • We’re sending you this message to let you know that we've inspected and acknowledge that this gully/system is blocked, but because it is not causing a serious highway safety or property flooding issue we will not be ordering work at this time. If the carriageway flooding mentioned in your report recurs, please contact us again, with photographs of the issue if possible, and we will investigate further. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action

  • Do you no longer carry out an annual cycle of works? Yet our council tax hasn't reduced?

  • Folks, l live at 211 Newmarket and this issue has caused flooding and damage to my drive for the last 5 years to the extent l,have had to spend 5K replacing my block paved drive, l have written to Legal services and reported it on this platform with evidence numerous times. Please act now as my case for an unresolved civil nuisance claim is becoming overwhelming…

  • This is an extract taken from Lincs highways obviously unused asset management plan "Arrangements will be made for non-functioning gullies to be recorded for detailed inspection and further work such as jetting."

This drain has not been cleaned in over 2 years, perhaps 3 or more. I would like to see them prove otherwise
