  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because we've inspected and acknowledge that this gully is covered in leaves etc, but because it is not causing a serious highway safety or property flooding issue we will not be ordering work at this time. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • Hi,

The description "covered in leaves" makes it sound like they can be brushed off which they can't. Last year the gulley was similarly blocked. You will notice the gulley is at the lowest part between a steep hill and bridge of the A607. Under heavy rainfall the blocked gulley caused the rain from the A607 to channel down Silkstone Lane causing flooding to my property.

Are LCC not prepared to maintain the gulley to avoid this happening again?
