Station Road beneath mainline railway bridge.
Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 17:12, Sun 1 December 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2825101.
There are three road drains to take the volume of rainwater coming off the railway. Two of these drains are blocked leaving the road waterlogged - almost permanently this time year. The resultant erosion of the road surface means that potholes are reappearing as soon as they have been repaired. The drains need clearing and the road surface attending to, to make a proper job.

Today I have witnessed the biggest exercise in futility : LCC workers attempting to repair the road surface whilst it is underwater, shovelling asphalt into the water and trying to make a firm surface. The drains (3 of them) need to be unblocked to allow the road to dry and a solid repair made but this has not been done despite being reported several times over a protracted period of time.
