Drainage dyke totally blocked from point on map backwards for 2 or 300 yds
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2825174.
You kindly sent someone to dig 6 little trenches along Tanners lane so water that floods the road to get to the dyke . Unfortunately the dyke cannot deal with the flood water as it is totally silted up including pipes that run under the A151 road (the point on the map)to the river on the other side . One other point is a big dugout area years ago was created for flood water to run into when houses were built but cannot be reached by the flood water because the edge of the road has grown up and even has self seeded bushes obstructing access . This could take a lot of water if it was cleared

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because the outlet to the river is clear. The responsibility for the ditch clearing lies with the owner of the ditch. We have requested that it it cleared and we may take enforcement action if no works are been carried out. Recently vegetation has been trimmed and we are waiting to see if ditch clearance works commence. We are aware of the issue and are currently monitoring to see what happens. There are no issues under normal rainfall conditions. Thank you for reporting this matter.
