Main road end of Tanners Lane
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 12:49, Tue 3 December 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 2825300.
Severely blocked dyke which needs completely clearing to avoid escalation of the flooding on Tanners Lane. This has been a problem for several years and does not appear to be considered as important when in effect it is creating a massive problem every time we have bad weather. Yesterday 6 channels were dug out on the verge of the lane but not in the area where the dyke is blocked.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because the outlet to the river is clear. The responsibility for the ditch clearing lies with the owner of the ditch. We have requested that it is cleared and we may take enforcement action if no works are carried out. Recently vegetation has been trimmed and we are waiting to see if ditch clearance works commence. We are aware of the issue and are currently monitoring to see what happens. There are no issues under normal rainfall conditions. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
