Traffic light timing issue
Reported via mobile in the Timing issue category anonymously at 13:07, Tue 3 December 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 2825302.
Coming from Carholme Road and attempting to turn right onto University Bridge towards Mcdonalds. During evening rush hour Carholme Road congestion has become increasingly bad. Noticed that the light phasing to turn right on to the bridge is very short and not allowing much traffic flow through to reduce congestion.

I was at the lights last night at 5 10 and was surprised on a light traffic evening that there was yet again a queue down carholme road. I thought I would time the lights this time. From carholme road turning right onto university bridge it was 25 seconds, from Newland direction over university bridge was 20 seconds and from university bridge heading to the avenue was a staggering 45 seconds. With all due respect this direction is fairly light for traffic at this time, whereas carholme road is always busy.
