Updates

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

    State changed to: Investigating

  • Thank you for your enquiry.

The hedge cutting operations that have taken place at this location have been undertaken by a private landowner, cutting their own hedges to their private land. LCC have not been involved in this work, nor instructed them to cut back the vegetation due to enforcement action.

Details on hedge management can be found on Gov website using the following link: Hedgerow management rules: cutting and trimming - GOV.UK

For information, LCC would normally request that hedges are cut back 3ft (1.0m) from the road edge above a verge, if we were undertaking enforcement action against a landowner. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
