Pavement on west side of Kingsway, Tealby - reference number is 2826004

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2826494.

Re your response to reference number 2826004 : "There are no scheduled works to restore this footway. It would provide very little benefit to pedestrians, as a recently renovated footway is already provided in this location on the opposite side of the carriageway. Thank you for reporting this matter."

Every footpath leading into Tealby, and within Tealby itself, has been surface treated with bitumen except for the section of the footpath on the west side of Kingsway from the Kings Head pub down to the river. The footways on BOTH sides of Kingsway have been treated/renovated down to the pub, as well as the pavement on the EAST side of Kingsway. What I can't understand is why out of all of the miles of Tealby footways treated by LCC's contractors last month (including the entire footway from Market Rasen to Tealby! ) was the 50 metre section of footway outside of my house on the west of Kingsway not treated or renovated ? What exactly were the instructions that you gave to the contractors ? Did you specifically tell them to leave that stretch of pavement derelict (and why? is this a new policy ?) or did they just forget to treat it ? Thanks and kind regards, John Downs

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.
