A159 at turn off to Elizabeth Close, Scotter

Reported via desktop in the Sign (unlit) category anonymously at 13:19, Fri 13 December 2024

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2826533.

The national speed limit sign/30mph sign at you leave the village/enter the village should be repositioned further north, after the turn for Hawthorn Rise as you head toward Messingham. Vehicles are travelling to fast as they leave/enter Scotter

  • This sign has still not been replaced. It us quite easy for drivers to miss the 30mph limit if the sign on the off side is obscurred by oncoming vehicles.. Please treat this issue as urgent now.

  • The 30mph speed sign has now been completely removed as you approach the village from Messingham and has not been replaced. So it would appear that the national speed limit(60mph) applies through the village. As stated in my original report 2826533, the 30mph sign needs to be north of Hawthorn Rise, preferebly at the sharp bend in the road near Manor farm

  • Just been speaking to your crew who have installed new road signage in a more appropriate position this morning, so all good, thanks
