Investigating
All the pavement on Sibsey Rd between Castle Road and Pilley’s Lane
Reported via mobile in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 17:48, Sat 28 December 2024
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2827723.
There are several problems for pedestrians all the way along the footpath on the non-residential side of the road. Firstly there is a huge amount of mud on the pavement making it dangerous and slippery for pedestrians. It is safer to walk in the fields. Secondly there is a long stretch of pothole along the pavement where agricultural vehicles have destroyed the pavement coming in and out of the fields on both sides of the road. Thirdly, the mud which is swept off the road blocks the drains on either side of the road. Fourthly, over time the lack of attention to the mud building up on the pavement has meant that the grass growing from the ditch is now growing on the pavement. This has dramatically reduced the width of the pavement making it extremely dangerous to walk along the path due to the proximity pedestrians find themselves to fast-moving lorries.
