Bollards (unlit) problem

Reported in the Bollards (unlit) category anonymously at 10:51, Mon 30 December 2024

Council ref: 2502044.

Customer wishes to report missing lit up bollard and make a claim. 'I was travelling down Doddington road and was preparing to edge right in the filter lane to stay on Doddington road when my car hit the traffic island that usually has a lit up bollard with an arrow sign to direct cars either straight ahead or to turn on to Whisby road.
At this time there were no bollards at all and by the time I had noticed it was too late and my right front tyre hit the kirb causing my tyre to pop and completely damaging my tyre and alloy wheel beyond repair.'

  • This issue was first reported over 6 months ago. It is a safety issue having a raised central island without the designed illuminated warning signs. The delivery gangs were apparently asked to repair some 4 months ago. When will the repairs, required for safety reasons be undertaken
