Outside Arnold’s funeral near traffic lights
Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering less than half the road category anonymously at 15:36, Friday 3 January 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 2828276.
Major safety concern. There is a water leak here where the pavement meets the road? There is a thick ice sheet of 1 m x 1.5 m that anybody can fall on. It is still there as darkness arrives and is a serious hazard

This has been leaking more than 6 months, the council have been made aware yet have done nothing more. I appreciate the issue is probably an anglian water issue, but LCC need to apply some pressure on them.

The County has received a large amount of rainfall in a short space of time and as such we are having to prioritise flooding sites which pose a risk to life or significant risk of internal flooding. It’s worth noting that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains can become overwhelmed and at the moment gullies may not be able to drain away into watercourses which are full or backing up. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Rest assured that we will be inspecting all drains and gullies in the coming weeks once the emergency response is over. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action

It won't be due to extreme conditions, it'll be because you don't clean the drains out any more.
