  • No this problem is not in progress! The workmen are here outside my house emptying the dirt out of the drains but they’re NOT doing the drain outside no. 134 (right where they’ve placed their traffic sign) which has weeds growing out of it because it collects the silt washing down from Fir Tree Lane, causing rainwater to flood the road and my drive, leaving behind very fine and slippery mud. They tell me they are not allowed to do that drain as it’s not on their worksheet! This is a ridiculous waste of taxpayers’ money. Please, just clean the drains, not just one here and there!

  • After 2 1/2 years of asking you to clear the drains in Ancaster, you tell me the problem is fixed. It is not! Yesterday the drains outside 118 and 112 Ermine Street were cleared but not the one outside no. 134. This has weeds growing out of it due to mud coming from Fir Tree Lane and is the crucial one which causes road and driveway flooding. Wouldn’t it be better to use your resources more efficiently by simply clearing all the drains regularly, instead of sending out a lorry, 4 workmen and 3 sets of traffic lights to do an incomplete job because it wasn’t on their worksheet?
