Meadow drove between mill drove turning and junction to spalding road

Reported via mobile in the Pothole on pavement/verge category anonymously at 09:15, Wed 8 January 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2829190.

Ongoing issues with potholes the entire way down both sides of the verges. One side of the road is an angle so when doing 10 mph this morning in the ice my car skidded into the frozen potholes on the verge due to tilt in road. Also two vehicles cannot pass at once and one has to pull over due to the significant potholes on both side of the road. This is an ongoing issue meaning pedestrians and cyclist are at risk and cars and vehicles are struggling to pass each other. Please fix it, this is a main road that is used for nursery runs and is particularly between hours of 8 to 9 and 3 to 5. The whole road needs resurfacing entirely.

  • What is the latest news on the Meadow Drove road improvement between Milldrove and the A151 Spalding Road? Are you waiting for a serious accident to occour?? Why is the road from Milldrove to Dyke as smooth as a babies bum and the rest is total rubbish? Do you pay out for claims against vehicle damage due to conditions?

Posted by Roger Robbins at 14:10, Sat 5 April 2025

  • Unfortunately they do not pay out for damage - I burst a tyre due to a large pothole (a 500ml bottle disappeared into the puddle and I could only see the blue lid!). When will repair work start please? This is a busy road and its in awful condition. Mill Drove to Dyke has been fixed but more cars use the section between Mill Drove and Spalding Road!

  • Re your statement of Friday 18th July at 14.07 as posted above. It is a blatant lie. All the issues have not been rectified and there are still significant issues that could damage cars or cause an accident. The issues will not be resolved until the road is resurfaced and the verges redifined.
