Last year in the summer months after witnessing a street light on an existing telegraph pole fall from its position, myself and a neighbour managed to eventually get through to the right department to report how dangerous it was - fortunately it did not fall to the ground. The wires stopped that. However, it was left dangling and in that position for several weeks. Eventually some workmen did come and remove the light all together. No replacement has materialised and with the winter months and a dodgy dip in the road in front of where the light was, I consider it quite dangerous not to have a replacement light to replace the one they took away.

There has not been anything done re the lack of street lighting opposite Holly House yet and I see there is another problem nearby on Hickman Crescent. I reported the one on Mill Lane on 22nd January and it is still classed as being Investigated. Has any investigating taken place yet? It doesn’t look like the issue further down is being taken very seriously either.

We have an update. Our highways team have issued this work out to one of their delivery gangs. We’ll let you know when the job is complete.
