Before the road narrows kissing safety bollards

Reported via mobile in the Damaged/missing boundary markers category by David Lacey at 11:49, Saturday 1 February 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2832738.

Kissing safety bollards before the pinfold where a ditch is situated. 20 yrs ago there used to be to be a run of them they have not been replaced. Consequently the verge has been eroded by traffic and road widened resulting in 800mm of verge left before the ditch where vehicles could fall into. This is the 3rd report of the issue.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because no safety issues have been identified at this location, nor are vehicles expected to leave the carriageway at this point than elsewhere on the road network. This likelihood is further alleviated by the widening of the carriageway before the village boundary. We will continue to monitor the site and appreciate your ongoing concern. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
