Dead wood in trees posing high risk of injury/accident

Reported via mobile in the Hanging tree or branch category by Adrian Charity at 15:09, Thursday 6 February 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2833516.

Despite work carried out on 2 trees on Low Road, the remaining trees are full of dead wood and have large broken branches hanging dangerously in the trees. The pictures show some of the issues in 3 separate trees along the part of Low Road from the Pump House to A607. These trees are in urgent need of pollarding both to reduce the risk of serious harm and to extend the life of these trees which are subject to TPOs. The trees are far too large for their location and also significantly overshadow private properties. They haven’t been maintained in many years and must be reduced in height and span to improve their health, reduce risk of accident, and to make their size appropriate to their location, bearing in mind 2 of the 5 trees have recently been reduced in height to between 6-8m (because of crown failure) and another had been replaced.
