  • Lincolnshire County Council are not responsible for this area of land. Please see attached liability mapping. The public maintainable highway ends at the end of the carriageway and the ends of both footways. The extra section of path in front of the driveway gates is private access and not publicly maintained. The grassed area is also not Lincolnshire County Council land, nor a public right of way. A land registry search would help you find the owner of this area. You can contact them at https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility

  • Thank you for getting back to us, I think there may be an error with the map. We have checked HM Land Registry and this appears to show the same as the liability map. The boundary between the Highway and private land shown as a straight line, following the east fence of 38 Francis Street (marked in yellow on the photograph). Could this be corrected so the area gets maintained correctly?
